Over the last few days my husband has made several attempts to show me that he knows me. In fact yesterday while he was talking with one of the other residents he paused and turned and introduced me to the man saying, “this is my wife” while gesturing towards me. 

 

I attribute these remarkable and tender moments to the changes in his medication. You were able to do what I had not been able to accomplish for over a year, put a stop to all of the over medication and bring about a positive change. You made a responsible evaluation about his treatments by his reactions and worked towards more suitable alternatives.

 

Naturally I am sad that we lost so much time because I didn’t have the background to make my concerns credible. However, I am choosing not to dwell on that at this juncture, instead I am very grateful for any opportunity to have some meaningful connection with him.
